• Strengths

  Tay, like many of her kind, possesses an unnatural grace and speed. But even among the Tuath Dé, her abilities are exceptional. While she is no stronger than a Human, she can move with speed like wind and with agility surpassing even animals bred for such tasks. In her skillset is also a fair bit of magic, both the ritual kind and the “quick and dirty” spellcasting done by many battle-casters. Rather than using scrolls, Taernichanthach stores prepared spells in her many, many scars. These scars glow when the magic stored within them is expelled.

• Weaknesses

  While a Tuath Dé prides itself on strength and prowess, they are not without weakness. Taernichanthach, like all her kind, is harmed by the touch of iron. Not steel, but pure iron. Even at the slightest touch, iron will burn and cut into her flesh. She is also bound by supernatural compulsions among the Fey-folk: She is physically incapable of lying; but that does not prevent her from omitting and twisting truths to deceive. She is also bound by what is colloquially known as a “Law of Threes.” Any word or promise given thrice Tay is compelled to uphold, even if she herself does not wish to do so. Finally, Tay’s greatest weakness is that of her True Name. If one learns her True Name, simply by speaking it aloud and with authority do they gain power over her will.
